Where the design process leads to the creation of highly specified, complex and critical components, OEM's require manufacturing support from advanced contractors who can provide value engineering input at an early stage and production expertise and technology.
Technological advances in many markets have led to more exotic materials being used that can often lead to manufacturing problems. PMS have time served experience cutting a wide range of modern super alloys and our production engineering expertise enables us to develop highly efficient manufacturing processes to minimise unit costs, utilising modern machine tools and carbide tooling.
Machine Tool Investment
Continuous investment in quality machine tools from Hardinge, Yamazaki and Bridgeport, enables us to produce very close tolerance components consistently. Whether it's a Link Arm for a helicopter or a housing for an oil field drilling head, each component must conform to specification and perform its function.
Specialist Supply Base
As well as developing our own capabilities we have built up an important and capable supply base that allows us to provide fully finished components to our customers. Specialist services such as honing, heat treatment, plating and non-destructive testing can all be provided as well as full traceability on raw materials. As defined in our ISO 9002 Quality System, all suppliers are assessed and approved and their performance reviewed.
