Broxton‘s CNC Machining Division announces the recent installation of another world-class Vertical Machining Centre – a Mazak VCS 530c CNC Mill. This high accuracy, high speed, quick to programme machine with large table, will increase capacity and output on 3 axis milled parts.
To further aid productivity and unmanned running, an additional significant investment has also been made on a modular, multi-part work holding system.
“We have been running Lights out production in our machine shop for a few years now for turned aluminium parts. This has increased our output and importantly has contributed to improved lead times and On Time Delivery,” says Marcus Ellams, Managing Director.
“With this new investment, we can now achieve significant unmanned production hours on milled aluminium parts too.”
Unmanned production is a key part of Broxton’s production strategy, and this new milling capacity adds to their established automation in turning, 5 axis milling and CNC CMM inspection.
In addition, Broxton’s Sheet Metal division also has a significant investment in automated punching and laser cutting technology, providing more many hours of lights-out production capacity every day.
