Our commitment to precision

At Broxton Industries, our commitment to precision has always gone hand in hand with our commitment to people. Behind every component we manufacture is a team of individuals whose skills, curiosity and dedication keep our standards high and our future bright.

One of the clearest examples of that is found in our training programme, which continues to play a crucial role in developing the next generation of engineers and problem-solvers.

Today, we’re proud to spotlight one of our apprentices, Seb.

A Strong Start: Meet Seb
Seb joined our manufacturing team only recently, but his impact has already been felt. From his very first week, it was clear he approached every task with genuine curiosity and determination.

As Simon, Ops Director said, "Seb has been a great fit at Broxton. His ambition to learn and develop as a skilled setter operator has been evident, and his personality fits the business perfectly. He brings a strong drive and a positive, happy nature, making him a valuable addition to a developing team."

For us, that attitude is exactly what defines a successful apprentice, not just the ability to learn but the hunger to understand how and why things are done and the desire to continually improve.

Seb said, “Everyone has been very welcoming, especially Adam and Liam. I believe I have developed new skills and gained a better understanding of the parts Broxton produces. It’s definitely been a learning curve but at the same time a really valuable experience so far."

The Value of Apprenticeships in Precision Engineering
Engineering isn’t simply about equipment or capability, It’s also about people who understand the craft.
Broxton’s apprenticeship programme is designed to develop that craft by giving individuals like Seb exposure to every part of the process:

  • Hands-on experience across CNC machining and sheet metal operations.
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers who share decades of knowledge.
  • Training on cutting-edge machinery, including automated CNC systems and advanced inspection equipment.
  • Development of problem-solving skills that underpin precision engineering.
  • A culture that values accuracy, accountability and continuous learning.

This investment is deliberate. To build components that meet tight tolerances and industry-leading standards, we need people who are trained not just in what to do, but in why precision matters.

Why We Invest in People Like Seb
An apprenticeship at Broxton is more than a pathway into engineering, it’s an opportunity to shape the industry’s future.
By investing in apprentices, we are:

  • Strengthening the long-term capability of our team.
  • Ensuring knowledge transfer from experienced engineers.
  • Building a culture of quality, ownership and craft.
  • Supporting the growth of UK manufacturing talent.
  • Creating pathways for young people to develop meaningful, skilled careers.

For us, apprentices aren't simply trainees, they are future engineers. They are the people who will help us continue to deliver on our promise of making it perfect.

Looking Ahead
As we enter a new year, our commitment remains the same. To invest in our people, strengthen our skills base and continue developing the next generation of engineers.

We couldn’t be prouder to walk that journey with apprentices like Seb.
